Stamping Pages for Identification

  • Image pages can be stamped electronically with users able to define the stamp references used, appearance and location on each image page
  • Records can be blue-ink stamped digitally which is acceptable to the FAA for Certificate of Airworthiness importation and exportation of aircraft
  • Electronic stamping is quick and provides easy location / viewing

Component Certification Determination

  • Optical character recognition (OCR) analyses image files attempting to recognise all the text content
  • IASG’s system allows an aircrafts component fit list to be compared to scanned images of JAA Form ones and FAA 8130-3 certificates to quickly match component part and serial numbers installed with the component release certificates on file

Engine & Landing Gear LLP Traceability

  • Scans historical records for a powerplant or gear and extraction of the Life Limited Parts certification / history to support the current Chapter 5 installed components

Navigation Image Files

  • Navigational features quickly take users to referenced pages, and indexes and codes the contents of technical records for an aircraft or maintenance check allowing ready examination and data retrieval
  • Bookmarks and on-image links are used for navigation to distinct documents or to frequently visited image pages

Reduced Technical Risk

  • Technical risk to the client can be significantly reduced. In the event of a default, aircraft records detention or catastrophic failure at the records storage location, the client is largely protected from the full cost of recovery by the digital images on file
  • Changing rules applied to aviation insurance mean it is not acceptable for clients to rely upon another party's Contingent Liability Insurance when compliance with the terms is out of the control or influence of the client

  • Provision of off-site fire and water hardened secure storage for aircraft technical records at its offices in LGW and MAN
  • A standard DVD holds image files up to 48,000 A4 pieces of paper, equivalent to 92 full lever arch files

  • Image files do not suffer from adverse impacts of environmental conditions like paper documents and retain clarity ensuring no information is ‘lost’ over time

Scanning Procedures and Authenticity Record

  • Documents are scanned according to internally developed working procedures based on the British Standards Institute’s code of practice for "Legal admissibility and evidential weight of information stored electronically”
  • These procedures help ensure the best image files are created and that no pages of information are missed

Scanning Services

  • Microfiche or microfilm may also be directly stored into image files without first printing to paper
  • Our scanning service is offered at either our own offices or at “on-site” locations
  • All returned aircraft record documents are re-built to their original structure
