IASG successfully completes delivery of A320 for Israir
IASG was mandated by Israir Airlines to accomplish support of an A320 aircraft delivery from a Lessor. Due to historical records issues the aircraft was presented for delivery a month late and needed a fast response from an IASG team to determine acceptability for certification of airworthiness and to meet the contracted lease terms for delivery.
"This was an unusual assignment due to the aircraft history and pedigree. There was a significant number of issues which needed to be identified and rectified prior to delivery. This presented the Lessor with a huge challenge and the Lessor used a team of 7 people to address it. IASG’s challenge was to get the aircraft introduced into service as soon as possible, to ensure aircraft and documentation met the lease contracted conditions and those of the airworthiness authorities, minimise risk to the lessee during the lease term and ensure that there was a clear datum for the Redelivery standard of aircraft and records".

IASG completes redelivery of an A320 for Israir
IASG was mandated by Israir Airlines to accomplish support of an A320 aircraft to a Lessor. Due to a rapid fleet changeover and to meet the fast growing operational requirements, the Lessee found that it needed to redeliver an aircraft in short timescales to an EASA standard which was defined in the lease agreement although the aircraft had not been previously registered or certified to such a standard.
IASG accomplished an initial review of the lease agreement and the standard of the historical records and data available to support the redelivery and provided a written report on the critical path, risks and issues with recommendations. IASG then deployed a skilled and focused team to support Israir and to allow a low cost Lessee to focus on its day-to-day operations. IASG collated evidence files to meet the Part M requirements and compiled and audited all records including AD evidence back-to-build, Hard Time, OC / CM component and SB / modification status reports and evidence files.
”This was a very very tough timescale and the IASG guys worked 12 hours a day to get this as far forward as the Lessee required so that the records could be presented and audited by the Lessor”.

Operating Lease Training Seminar
Senior team members Ken Berry, Director of Quality and Andrew Gardner, Continuing Airworthiness Manager, recently attended the Everest Events Operational Lease Training Seminar in London. The seminar covered how to financially structure an operating lease including risk management; the various legal aspects of lease structures and finally the technical and return conditions associated with operating leases. They both said how the seminar material and the exchanges between the audience and the presenters made for an informative and rewarding event with current best industry practice, experiences and trends discussed. As part of its continuing investment in staff, IASG has a programme of staff attending educational conferences and Everest Events is one of Europe’s foremost providers of such training conferences.
IASG recently collaborated with Everest Events to provide and present In-depth Maintenance Reserve training for airlines, banks, lessors, financial institutions and legal and insurance entities in London and Dublin. The conferences were well received and solicited very positive feedback from all attendees. Everest Events has a new programme of seminars to be announced over the coming months.

IASG successfully completes redelivery of four aircraft for Aegean
IASG was mandated by Aegean airlines to accomplish a turn-key preparation and audit of all technical records for four aircraft to three demanding Lessors. The assignment started in September 2009 and the last aircraft was redelivered to the Lessor in May 2010. IASG deployed a skilled and focused team to a temporary office in Athens to support Aegean and to allow the Lessee to focus on its day-to-day operational priorities.
IASG collated evidence files to meet the Part M requirements and compiled and audited all records including AD, Hard Time, OC / CM components and SB / modification status reports and evidence files. IASG organised and ran Redelivery Management Meetings internally to prioritise actions and ensure that any hindrances to successful completion of the assignment were identified and actioned by the lessee and IASG.
IASG also had the added burden of ensuring FAA compliance for those aircraft which were contractually bound to be returned to Lessor FAA Part 121 eligible. IASG worked closely with its preferred DAR and several DERs to ensure compliance and clear evidence with the airworthiness requirements.
”Nothing is straight forward and this assignment was one of those, in that we had very old lease language, referring to old airworthiness terms and standards, demanding Lessors, three redelivery locations and some very aggressive redelivery dates. Fortunately, we had a professional client who was an absolute pleasure to work with, who was happy to delegate the workload and kept us on a good report leash which worked well with the existing members of the Aegean team and their retained workload”.
